Its the fast twist that allows using mint bullets. A 10 twist 243 will always get thrashed downrange but not so with a fast twist shooting same mint bullet

65 to 75l should be plenty if you can do 3 days with the 50l. Strap stuff on the outside when your packing meat out. The exped and osprey packs at bivouac look good

I use the bags in the bush. I Buy the strong ones and get 2 cups per bag. I like buzos idea of a few beans in the trail mix
