I grew up in the time where, yes in NZ Leupold were thought very well of, considered better than the lower priced Weavers and the others were well.... It took ages before I could afford a Leupold...

I have a brand new 357 Marlin M1894 which I have shot once. Brought it as a knock about handy gun but its too nice to wreck. I should have brought the stainless synthetic one!!

Had one in stainless 243 and liked it for ease of barrel cleaning and slim proportions. Ultimately decided bolt action is my preference although still have a few levers.

There's a second hand one in 308 for sale at H&F Dunedin, don't remember the price. Was chatting to a gunsmith this week and he mentioned he was working on a BLR recently but the barrel was pressed...

It'll be 1:10 if it's a factory Sako barrel. Targex used to make a 105 that would work in a 1:10. 2209 is ideal.

I'd be interested in seeing the take down function. I'd say $450ish would be a good deal and $550 would be my top end Without seeing the take down I don't really know if it adds or detracts value
