a couple pf points from my perspective , i think 4mm is to thick. my preference is 3.12 mm or 1/8th old money, and i don't think 01 is a great steel for knives . i would be happy to send you a piece...

I've had a few cheap sets - the twist adjustment has crapped out on more than one. Whatever you get, make sure it has the lever-type adjustment.

always had an oilskin shepherding had split up the back to go over saddle rememer them as being quite good lot better than plastic

Easy to shoot, well, and fast - nice balance might also describe it. Bear in mind I chopped 4" off a fairly heavy barrel. Aided by the fact that it can be top loaded into interchangeable magazines...
