I'd be fairly cautious about 56 Gns, even 53 gns is likely to be around 70,000 psi, which is pretty hot, the Q/L data for 56 gns says 90,000 psi which is well beyond "hot"

A scope is no problem, any old 4x will do, you just need to check it'll adjust and hold a zero. Heaps on TM for under a hundy.
