Sidetrack liked post by Tentman On thread : What rifle setup for long range gong shooting
Lots of rifle configurations will suffice . . . My preference tends to the so called "cross-over" rifle configuration, which to me means something with about a No 3 or a tiny bit heavier barrel (but...

Nailed it! As for shooter fatigue, spare me. If a guy can stagger to the range I don't think their "performance" is going to decline much shooting 30, 50 or even 100 rounds from any of the common...

Tim liked post by Tentman On thread : What to do with my Winchester 70?
It probably could go faster, I just looked up some load data, 40 gns of 2209 was within book max and seemed like a nice number. I shot a ladder up to 40 and called it good - mainly for ease of...

Good to see 22 CM mentioned. I sorta came by one by accident, mine is a 1:9 Savage ex 223 barrel. It shoots 75gns at 3250 from 20". That is a big big step up from a 223 especially when shooting...

Hmmm STC contributes to the thread but fails to advance the argument. Pity you don't appear to understand how the cancel button works . . . . may I suggest that you check out the thread on its use.

It would be interesting to test the sensitivity of a load to powder weight variation. In Gimps 3 shot groups ladder there are changes in POI but I wonder if these would pull in in a decent sized...
