    Heard a few hee haws, single calls and a red roar yesterday morning. Managed to knock this guy over with my 7mm SAUM when he popped out at 645metres.

    In a free dreams ideal world, I'd be able to shoot half as well with my flash gear as those fullbore guys do with open sights. So I see magnification as very useful but perhaps not completely...

    yes Ive heard of the extreme long range when hind is running over top of fella LOL.... his 2x7 has been very good scope for a LOT of years the wee pig plex jobbies hard to beat for dedicated up...

    depends on your definition of long range.... the 2x7 and 3x9 have been main stays for years...the 2x7 is awesome up close...your NI bush hunting and on deer will get you out to reasonable...

    In my humble opinion the dream nz hunting scope that does most things well is beleive it or not the NF 2.5x20x50 sfp. Who else on here is running one as I have a sfp and ffp. Dream is the operative...

    i was going to suggest having a look at the Burris range. I have a 2-10x42 Veracity FFP which i'm really happy with. it is a bit large and heavy for a bush rifle but looking through it is great....
