Those well worn deer trails tell you everything you need to know about deer populations back in there. Like the mid 1970's. Hunters just need to get stuck in and drop some animals. Well done you guys...

tikka liked post by Rusky On thread : Return of the Kaimai Hunter
So its been awhile since I've ventured into the lovely Kaimai supplejack bush that I learned to love and hate back in 2013. Family additions, the desire to chase Sika over reds, becoming a manager,...

Was about 12m3 before going in and I got the Hilux up to Bottom Gordons. A few tricky crossings with the boulders but not too bad. A great place for an explore. Went for a big walk and fly...

tikka liked post by stagstalker On thread : 3 vs 5 shot groups
This. No point wasting ammo on something that a three shot group can tell you is a lost cause. Then when something looks good either do multiple three shot groups to get more data or do bigger groups...

The one issue with this ^ though is that one bad shot in a three shot group can make you think it’s no good when it may have been the shooter. Gotta be on your game.
