Police will be fine. You and me, however, are going to have an even harder time trying to courier ammunition as a result of this.

All is not lost. Any good gunsmith could trim and thread the barrel for an external choke tube. It is a very common occurrence, especially with inexperienced shooters and, luckily, injuries from such...

I know you say you don't want an airgun but PCP airguns are your answer, something adjustable so you can dial the power right back. They are not cheap but it's the only safe option in that situation.

Your ammo doesn't need to be in a locked box in your car. It's not ambiguous, it's stated plainly. If you have a lockable glovebox or similar compartment in your car, then you put it in there....

I’ve used 1000s of rounds of Belmont 55 and 62s mainly on goats and deer and a few pigs I prefer the 62s but the goats never seem to notice the difference,

Think carefully to remember any speeding tickets etc from the last few years as they often ask about those to test your honesty - they have your Police record in front of them

Used over 1000 rnds Barnaul 62 gr culling goats mostly but a few deer and pigs too. Work perfectly fine @ 100 +metres but get odd one penciling thru at close range. Still get the animal though.
