Bunny skinning is quick and easy and much easier if you do it straight away rather than letting the animal cool down. You can get the guts out as MD describes, or prepare gutless which I prefer. Back...

Could you reduce your danger area on ranges by use of baffling the firing zone to reduce the cone of fire? Obviously this would be expensive and right pain but otherwise it seems we have had an...

Hundreds of millions a year? With 250,000 licensed firearms owners in NZ, each 100 million is $400 each per year. Seriously? Assuming $200,000,000, I wonder what my $800 was spent on? And last...

I suspect you're right about political ambitions ( i.e. Cahill ). Police are quoted as saying taxpayers have been subsidising the Firearms Licensing system to the tune of hundreds of million of...

That is the real news here - the Police Assn acting as the mouthpiece of the Govt. I wonder if there are any political ambitions lurking anywhere near Mr Cahill? (shades of Greg O'Connor maybe?) ...

Am I missing something here? What does the Police Association have to do with the setting of fees or the sham consultation?:O_O:

I suspect Cahill will be the de facto minister. Media already interview him more than any minister. The govt will just do what the police hierarchy tell them, but pretend it's the other way round.

I don't think National will really give two shits, if this all goes through before then they wont reverse anything. I don't like putting faith in politicians but a good turn out for the Yellow team...

also the way to get more people being safer with firearms is to have more people comply with the law - duh Pricing people out of complying will increase non-compliance and hence more people will...

Whats the point, sub missions will be ignored anyway like they have every other time. The only submission that'll count is the one on the 14th of October. Even the unless Nicole gets a decent say...

I did read it, but I must of missed that $90 p/hr part somehow. How do you justify $90 an hr when I would be surprised if a non sworn interviewer is getting $30. Something stinks here.

I made exactly that point in my submission. The setting of fees is to be paid by those using the service ('the beneficiaries'). The stated aim of the new Arms Act nonsense is 'public safety'...
