   Breingan i used 2213sc in my 24" tikka, shot 9mm groups at 100m and gave exceptional FPS. no need to use fairy dust (RL powder)

   Phil_H I found them slow killers unless I hit bone say front leg/shoulders. Granted if you were running them in a 300WM at 300fps faster than my 308 they might do better but I just wasn't happy with...

   On that recomendation, I have a Model 7 308 cut to 16.5" with a DPT over barrel suppressor (OAL is same as when it was 20"), Talley LW rings and swaro 3-9x36... I bloody love that thing.

   A 308 or (yikes) 7mm08 would be what you are looking for imo ---- I wouldn't look past a .260 either though if you want softer recoiling.

    Yeah that was my thought, I would like to compare that and the Viper HS 2.5-10 though. Viper has capped turrets which are a bit more attractive to me.
