The attitude of leave the hinds is quite strongly entrenched with many though. Personally I shoot hinds in preference to stags better eating and the numbers definitly do need to be controlled.

Frankly it's best to remove bolt, or lock a lever action, and cable lock it to vehicle (load anchors work well), bury it under everything else, take any bolts with you and stay stum. Lock any ammo...

Had upper Glaisnock first period. awesome weather. seemed to be the only valley with roaring action. dad got a nice even 12 and my uncle got a 14. over 30 deer seen. will try post some photos later.

two ways to do it...with noise/dogs rolling rocks into scrub or sit and snipe.... sit and watch bush edges,tussuck faces and wet gullies,they are funny critters and once your eyes switched on you...
