Close bolt.apply safety half way. Click the wee latch on side/rear of bolt and unscrew firing pin,spring etc. So guts is out of bolt.

Personally I would say there is no harm in getting it threaded for a can and cerakoted. It is your rifle now and it is a hunting rifle at the end of the day. Fundamentally it is a tool, not a display...

I concur with Ryan’s first comment. But at the end of the day just do whatever you want, barrels after all are a replaceable item and you can always put a new one back on later or change it up again...
