   Close bolt.apply safety half way. Click the wee latch on side/rear of bolt and unscrew firing pin,spring etc. So guts is out of bolt.

   Personally I would say there is no harm in getting it threaded for a can and cerakoted. It is your rifle now and it is a hunting rifle at the end of the day. Fundamentally it is a tool, not a display...

    I concur with Ryan’s first comment. But at the end of the day just do whatever you want, barrels after all are a replaceable item and you can always put a new one back on later or change it up again...

    Not really. Without looking on the computer I'm picking there will be some powders that burn as much if not more in an 18" or 19" barrel than other powders in a longer barrel. So with that in mind...
