About uk_exile
Biography:
I'm not british. Its a username only! I'm a kiwi, born here, lived here 29yrs then due to work moved to UK late 1990s. Returned to NZ 2003. It was while working in UK that I chose my online username for all online stuff and have kept it ever since. It's not because of any connections or loyalty to UK. Have only been back once to UK since 2003 as part of an european holiday. Can't say I hated UK but certainly disliked the lack of freedom & was just there for work. It simply wasn't me or my happy place.
Location:
Havelock/Linkwater or Ashburton Lakes

Have been out in it 3 times now. It handles well, better than expected and I suspect better than most 5m boats as the water started to rough up. Called in to visit an outer sounds farmer we know and...

The plotter seems to work well, once I figuured out how to tell it to use the Navionics maps and not the Lowrance maps. Seems really detailed. Currently just using it for depth indication. Will need...
