Yes is the easy answer. I don't lose sleep over not getting 15 reloads out of my hunting brass though. When you buy brass in 100 piece boxes you'll get 500 or more rounds out of it.

You don't need "better gear". More deer were shot in NZ by a few men using ex-army 303's whilst wearing swandris, woollen singlets, undies and hobnail boots probably than all the gear junky hunters...

I would put money on the average american hunter being a better shot than the average NZ hunter. The american practices all year, and hunts once. The NZer hunts all year, and practices once.
