You are correct in that they show what rotation you are on. In a perfect world with the scope zeroed the windage should be in the centre of adjustment, but in practice this is not always the case....

Shouldn't windage when zeroed be about halfway on number of revolutions, since you will want to dial in both directions? Left and right, depending on which side the wind is coming from?

Yeah mate... great advice... seen it as high as 8 -10 inches depending on the ammo.. some rounds will climb faster in trajectory... I have a set of bore sight rounds... laser dots at 100 yds......

Howa270 If it is a new gun then it would pay to check the scope mounts screws etc as well as these can work loose if they were not done properly to start with. A gunsmith wont make that mistake, but...
