Been a shooter from 14 years old (School cadets - 22RF, Air Training Corps - 303 Service Rifle, National Service - FN 7.62 NATO, 9mm submachinegun, varmint hunting Australia - 22/250 Rem, 12 ga claybird targets (Down the Line mainly & novelty field shoots, Trench), NZ - 12ga clay bird DTL. 50 Barrett M82, 500 S&W Magnum revolver - USA. Loved it all.

    From my research they like a .05" jump and a decent powder load. I followed that advice in my 223 and the last 3 shot 3 different powder loads shot .8 .7 and .65" inches at 100m - the group...

    Unless you have the hornady Lock N load Comparator set up with the Modified cases etc you are flying blind with regards to "the lands" Short answer have a play with seating depths depending on if...

    i just use my press with no die in it put your bullet in it raise it up grip the projectile with pliers and lower it after a while you should get the hang of it and not damage the projectile to much
