I would pretty much agree with Willus, having gone down the same route almost. But the other thing is the Lee set is only a couple of hundred bucks - not a huge amount if you try and it find it’s not...

Be warned, if you love to tinker with stuff and try and improve what's already there, reloading is a hole you'll fall into and only climb out of to eat, sleep, and occasionally visit the loo.:D

My opinion is that the "Alpha brands" only lead the pack with their Alpha binos (EL's, Ultravid/Noctavid, Victory) and in the price range of the conquests and trinovids there are much better options...

Ladder testing is also good for determining max safe powder charge and at what level you see excess pressure signs etc.

I ladder test all the time now and save so much in components and time developing a load, get better results than the old fashioned "load up 3 at each charge weight" also. Short story, it works.

I love my Mojave HD pro guides 10x42, I got them over in states for $600 which was less than half price at the time. Think they're between $1000 and $1500 here in NZ. Glass is bloody nice and also...

With the vx5 , I d suggest you get a wind Plex reticle. You dial up for trajectory correction and use the reticle for wind correction.

Pretty sure with a 30mm tube you get more adjustment, so if shooting long range and dialing the 30mm is better. (happy to be corrected I'm no expert)
