I went to the NI NZDA shoot a couple of years back and the best shooter put 9 out of 10 shots into a 35mm group at 100m. The rogue shot opened the group to 60mm. This was standing. Grandpamac.

You might be better off with a slower burning powder. 60gr Viht N165 gives me 2850-2900fps with 150gr Sierra Gamekings out of my 22.4" 270 Win. I expect that you'd get 3000+ fps with 150gr....

Love that comment Gundoc as it rings true. Our “training” was almost non existent. Even in my latter years, when invited by an IPSC mate to try one of his race guns, I get censured for incorrect hand...

There was nothing inaccurate about the S&W .38's, just very poor training and operator error. The revolvers were perfectly capable of 3-4" groups at 50 metres under ideal circumstances. I have a...

Yes, the .223 BRNO's were ex NZ Police and were sold in the late 70's from memory. They were sold because Police training was a hangover from the old .303 days and they never took into account the...

Obviously not my film and unsure if it's been posted here before. But I liked it because it shows some of the grinding and effort that can go into NZ hunting. ...

Fantastic episode last night. Loved the emotion from Don, you could see it meant a lot to achieve that. Big thumbs up to Emil for carrying that filming gear up those bluffs.
