Why doubt it was a great white? They are not uncommon in NZ waters. When I was seriously in to SCUBA diving, I was flying all over the world to dive with sharks. Even made the trip down to Bluff...

Yes would have been a great sight alright, however I to saw Jaws at a very impressionable age and as a consequence sharks, and being in the sea both fascinate and scare the shit out of me.

With that thread title I was almost too scared to open this page! I thought maybe it was a Pride parade warmup pictorial.

Even being an ardent meat hunter like I am, I'm still pleased every year when the velvet begins to strip and what lays underneath is revealed. And the chance of securing a decent head is revived -...

Quite probable man, they are far more common in nz waters than we realise. Could have also been an orca in close but obviously quite a different shape. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

I fitted a GCL compact 4 x 32 scope to the Bergara (thanks to Gonetropo). I was surprised and delighted to find that the open sights do not appear in the image I see through the scope. This scope...

The media are the scourge of the thinking man. Sadly there’s a real shortage of THINKING men - or anybody. ‘Its in the news so it must be true’
