In my experience of hunting up there, if the main rivers are high, the side creeks are pumping as well. Id give it a week at least, depending on what Nor west we get over the next few days

+1 on the brake for a target based rifle (just don't try using one for bush hunting.....) fine if you won't be using it near a dog either

Considered a brake? For gong shooting they are the go I recon....already wearing ear protection anyway and much better recoil reduction than a suppressor and much less annoying mirage from heat...

So far so good, only used it twice so can't comment on it's longevity yet. I'm very happy with it. Spent a windy wet night in it down Otago and was very comfy.
