Yep nice video. Good job on the camera shakes (always a tough one) light as usual was your enemy. I’d practice a bit more on black birds fantails. To get your light settings right. Cool hunt but.

Yeah I have inner tube on all my scopes and suppressors. Protects from scratches and cuts down on scratch/knock noise. The sunshade with the tube tight for an inch in front is my rain bush hunting...

It doesn't matter if you're consistent with the sounds your making. The deer make some bloody random sounds, especially with hybrid stags in the mix. I can hew-haw 5-6 times and also single call...

Yea I'd probably concur with that.. most of the roaring I had was from the 17th onwards. Plenty around 17th to 20th but didn't hear much earlier in the piece. Still a pretty decent roar though. ...

Nice stags and video. How did you find the sika stags roared this year? Also in the video at around 11minutes what are you using to mew at the stag? Sounded primo.

The roar of 2009 was spent in one of my favorite spots in Sika country, it was also the year in which one stag caught my attention, he became known as the camp stag. Sleep usually comes easily...

The old guy who lives down rangipo road told us this would happen about a year ago. I think I had posted it somewhere on here. He pretty much said the Maori land owners have had enough of people...
