Some new ones quickly, like the first photo, shows the different colour phases nicely.

These bucks were scrapping it out for about 15mins infront of the camera! wish i had it n video mode. Got a photo of the loser on another camera, he has one antler snapped of and the other is missing some points, poor bugger got a hiding. Will put the photo up when i pull the SD card.

Also had two cameras stolen, pissed me off. Very good idea of who it was tho, so if you are reading this you better have a fucking good reason to be stealing you dirty thieving fucker. Havent checked all my cameras so no doubt you have made an error and i will have a clear picture of your ugly mug, prick.

Yep bit dissapointing, this sort of shit really pisses me off. Theft whilst in possesion of firearm would be a good charge for his CV!

More dissapointing was that the cameras were looking over some very promising scrapes that had been used very, very frequently. Gutted to not see the photos

Nice picture that first one PerazziSC3. I hope you have a good image of your camera thief and end up getting them back. I have never invested in a trail camera for that very reason.

I thought about this when I place my first camera.

I currently have two cameras placed in the bush.... both on DOC land.

Both are closely watching a Wallow.
And both have a view of each other with the hope if one is discovered then the other may be overlooked.
Both are well camoflaged (I Hope) using surrounding natural vegitation

I would not hesitate in posting a pic to Name & Shame if I caught anyone stealing or interfering with them.

Going in to check on them on Sunday so I hope I have some pics of Stags to share.

    Cheers
    Pete

Thought it was time to share these pics since the roar has been and gone.
The camera is located on DOC land and there has been everything from deer, pigs, possums, hares, magpies and starlings set the camera off but here is a selection of some of the pics.
You will notice that all pics put up are in bad weather or at night. This is for the reason of not giving away landmarks as identifying landscapes in Canterbury isn't that challenging.

Us setting the camera up on a well worn game trail on the tops in shitty February weather. We were both dressed more for summer condition and by the time we got back to the truck we were soaked and frozen!

This is series of pics that I love of a spiker doing the bolt and then frolicking around on the game trail doing headstands and all!

Lastly this is the stag that we were targeting. He showed up for the first time on film on the Friday and I got him on the Saturday.
