A middle of the road load that simply works in my Howa:
    Winchester Brass
    CCI SR primers
    25.5gr AR2206H
    55gr Hornady SP

I haven't chrono'd it, just sighted it in and started shooting animals, goats, pigs, deer and even head shot a couple cows that needed to be put down.

55 grain Hornady #2266 and 28.5 grains of 2208 and a magnum CCI450 in PMC brass - this gives me 3307 fps from a 20" barrel. (I can neck size them for quite a while so its not even a hot load.)

But my general purpose load is really a 70 grain Speer. Which is 26.5 g of 2208 and CCI400 for 2950 fps out of the same 20" barreled CZ527

Both loads will shoot into around .75 to an inch for five shots depending on how I hold my mouth.

    I don’t think I can get that much 2208 into a case?

You have to really want to.

I use PMC brass, trickle powder in very slow, and then I stand on it fiercely. Works pretty good. I am not shy about compressing powder, as long as I dont collapse the case seating the bullet and as long as the bullets don't back out overnight its fine

The fact you can still neck size them is not an indication. That load is way over maximum.
