Just curious if anyone have tried them? Seems like do very well in the states and it looks like they're not that expensive in the states.

they would have to need a 1:7 or faster twist.??
I know trueflite do a 1:8 barrel in 6mm and mine certainly shoots the 105-108 gr bullets fine.
Have seen the velocity numbers the guys in the US are getting from 243/243AI shooting 115's and you would gave to think the pressures are up their.

PS, just to put it out there, on the 6mm BR pages they are claiming shooters of standard 243 cases are getting >3150fps with the 115 DTACs. Which gives better performance than the 260 rem or 6.5-824.

I couldn't get them to perform in my 6mmBR 1:8 Lilja, which shoots very very well the 105s 107s.
That's not to say they they will be the same in someone else's 1:8, that's the nature of the game but I think 1:8 is marginal.
I had the moly coated version which I don't think he offers anymore.
115 DTAC = 115gr projectiles made for David Tubbs by Sierra.
Aha not much help to you but off Tardme a few years back. I gave them away to a mate who built a 6x47L.
That rifle and remaining projectiles appeared recently on here on For Sale.
Uplandstalker uses them in a 6XC I’m pretty sure. Everyone seems to rave about them in the XC
The DTAC aren't a new projectile, been round for ages. When they came out, they had about the best BC you could get but the rest have caught up, eg a Berger 105 Hybrid is an excellent option and likely far easier to get shooting.
There’s some interesting articles about the DTAC. It was designed for 1:8”.
The original design has been superseded by a rebated boat tail design.
The Berger Hybrid 105gr stole the show in PRS matches because the first gen DTAC was often inconsistently manufactured, but it seems like the new generation DTAC has fixed that and is now more consistent than the Berger, and as such has staged a comeback. Reading these articles reminds me how fundamentally nerdy these fellas are...
I also did some research on the DTAC’s suitability for hunting, obviously expecting them to be wholly unsuitable. Was pretty amazed at the wounding on whitetails at extended ranges, had everything from complete fragmentation inside the chest cavity (and resultant utter destruction) to fist sized exit holes. In both instances that equated to instantly dead deer. I believe those that hunt with them trim the meplat.
Not advocating hunting with this kind of projectile, but it is worth pointing out that the energy these things carry at 600 yards is remarkable compared to lots of other heavier but low BC projectiles.
Just...say...the...word
