16inch Kimber is getting 2830 with 45gr of 2208 behind the 120BT. 46 got to 2900 but is over book max and accuracy dropped off. I tried Belmont 760 up to 50gr but only got close to 2700 with the short barrel. The 45 of 2208 seems the sweet spot in my rifle.

@Tahr, chainsaw's post earlier is pretty close to what I was using for Sierra 120gr Pro Hunters. 14 inch barrel length my side...

Either 2208 or 2206H would work fine.

@Tahr Greg Duley did an article on hand loaded 120-130gn from the 7mm-08.
I think I still have it, will check the bookshelf tonight.

Found it, but I'll scan it tomorrow at work. As using the phone camera sucks.

I thought 2206h and 2208 WERE precious lol

I picked up some imr 4895 a while ago, before the shortage kicked into gear. It's going well with the 120 vmax in my Tikka T3 and I'm at 43.5 grains, seems to be right around where most of you guys are with 2206h.

Not sure on speeds as my chroni was playing silly buggers today, some of my shots were over 4000fps somehow apparently

Thanks for all of the replies.

I tried 45.5grns 2206H today. No pressure signs. Grouped .5" for 3 shots. Velocity 2904fps (18" barrel, Sako A7). That will probably do it. I could go to 46grns but hardly worth it for say 30fps just to push the envelope.

I wasn't happy with the chrono results (Labradar) from the 45.5gr load with the 2206H so re-ran them today with an increase of .5 to 46 grains.

Much better. I must of had something set up wrong last time. I got a consistent 3k from the 18" barrel today, no pressure, and nice .5 -.75" 3 shot groups. Very happy.

Tried the 120 sierras in my 18inch m700 in weekend. Had 42 grains of 2206h and was at 2800fps. Good accuracy so think I'll leave as is, could possibly go a grain or so higher and see how it goes
For reference PPU 120 hollow I chronod at same time done 2800fps aswell, these are very good factory ammo, highly under rated, great for 40bucks a box

@Forestry Sorry, didn't manage to do it on the work copier/scanner before the office closed.
Can do it just with a camera though.
