As per title. Anyone tried or using them?
Looking to capitalise on its .510 BC and shoot it out of a 20" sako.
If I can get it running between 2800-2900 accurately I would be stoked.

I have run the 123 Amax, basically the SST is an Amax with the canalure i believe. I could push them to nearing 3k from a 20" mod 7 with H414, they were hot tho. So you should easily achieve what you want.
Fantastic. Much luck on game with that weight projectile?

Would you think a slower runner 140 would be a better option?
Probably, but depends on how far ya wanna shoot I guess, and if your barrel will stabilize the 140s

I've always reckoned that the first rule is that its SD plus adequate speed, that penetrates and kills. Not BC or any particular fancy bullet type. Those fancy arse things just build on the first rule.
123 grn AMax has enough SD and speed to kill well. And I'm guess that they are no softer than their bigger brother.
Smoked a couple of goats with mine outa a swede. They made a pretty big hole. Goats were pretty dead after.
Did you ever have a crack with the ones I sent you GWH?
Yeah just a ladder test, then the rifles been parked up while I've been playing with the m595 284win.
I'll get back onto it soon.
