speed aint everything mate. The loads I was using with you guys and smashing the gong every time - apart from the chain lol - in that gusty wind was 120 softpoint flat base doing 2575fps That was 370m, I only intend to use these at 250m max.

Accubonds would be a bit of a waste on goats (don't need that sort of penetration) but the Sierras should be fine.
I just realised I typoed the MV on that load. It was supposed to be 2995fps.
Funny @Gibo didn't give me shit about that.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

I think you can discount the first two powders as too slow for that weight projectile.

Speed is everything with non fragmenting projectiles if useing on game, however if you want slow use trail boss and barely wobble the gongs till your hearts content
Gibo and Micky Duck like this.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

Also dont see much point buying 2207 if youve got 2206 there

I used to get some stonking velocities from BL-C(2) (ball powder) with 125 grain Remington sp's
Remington Bullets 30 Cal (308 Diameter) 125 Grain Pointed Soft Point
They achieved at least 3000fps out of the L1A1 and were devastating on everything. They blew big holes in goats. I have a few left but they seem to be only limited production now and hard to get.

It is, especially with 125 gr bullets.
