    130gr Barnes TSX in 6.5-284

I'm tasked with developing a short range(0-300) load for a friend, and, as yet, only have these Barnes. Never used them, and internet info seems somewhat sparse and contradictory. Anyone here have any nods and winks as far as they go ?

At present using 140gr AMax very successfully out to 535yds, so no problem there, but doubts arise a little with the closer shots as to the Amax's ability to kill quickly.

A big stag is on the cards this roar( some good potentials have already been spotted where he goes ) at closer ranges, so this short range project is under way.

Not after a shit fight over bullets v's bullets, but if you've been there done that, be keen to hear

    Any and all opinions appreciated

Hi I use the 130Grn Nosler AB in my 6.5/284 has worked well out to 300M so far deer drop on the spot. I have used the Barnes in other Cal over the years and they work ok but could never get them to shoot as well.
That's what i found any way i'm sure others will have their ideas.

I haven't found them to like that much jump or rather prefer the large jump.

My experience is only with 30cal barnes but IME they like to jump 30-60 tho.

Adi has some load data for 130s but looks rather mild you could stoke it up a little more though
