I run the 160gr TMK from my 284 at around 2830fps.
Which is essentially for all intents and purposes the same bullet.
I would strongly advise against using this round up close.
Shot a 11 pointer last year in a area where I thought there'd be longer shots.
120y in the shoulder and massive entry wound. Bullet blow up by definition.
The shock dropped him but I had to do a finisher.
You'd be better off using something like a partition or hotcore as a sub 200 round.
Or go to something like a 168gr ABLR or 165gr Bondstrike as a all-rounder.
The latter of which I'm going to do.
