Gidday,
Anyone shooting the above loads? About to do data validation but haven't got a chrony. Anyone shooting around the 62 gr RE17 mark with similar setup and know an approx speed I can put into Strelok?
Cheers
Scott

Ill have a look on grt and get back to you
Sorry mate, had to update gordons reloading tool and hasnt finished before i have to leave for work. Hopfully someone chimes in for ya!
Do a drop test and let Strelok work the velocity out for you.
Just...say...the...word
-80fps off your old data, you lost 2" of barrel yes?
Whoops 66 grains powder
Not same same but shoot 168gn Amax in my 308 with 50gn of RE17. Goes real well, about 2650 fps.
For the 300wsm and 176-180gn Hornady does list RE17 with start load of 57gn (2700fps) and max load of 64gn (3000fps). Hope that helps.
A quick plug into GRT using defaults for case capacity and COAL gives a muzzle velocity of 2853fps.
It also warns working pressure is close to maximum permissible gas pressure, and there is a risk of overpressure due to tolerances.
Thanks everyone. Run into pressure issues with 66 grains so had a quick projectile pulling session, whacked 64 grains in and back off to range. Took a stab in the dark for ballistics app and chucked in 2800 fps.
Validated out to 550 yards and ended up with 2850fps as speed. Job done.
Cheers
If using on deer shot placement will be key. I use them in my .308 as do many others and even going 2520 fps I have had 3 blow ups on the shoulder.
I tried them in my .300 win mag and they were not good at all. That was going a bit faster than 2850 though. The 178ß work well in the .300 and through the mates .300 wsm
