Hey team, can't find much online but does anybody have access to reloading data on .22-243, looking to see where's a good place to start, keen to see anything from Sierra, Nosler, Hornady or RWS...
Cheers in advance...

Accurateshooter has a few threads on it, with some data
Identify your target beyond all doubt
Do you want slow twist, ridiculously high velocity, light projectiles
Or fast twist, super high velocity, heavy projectiles

Probably needs one of those new variable twist rate barrels, that let you alter as required.
hey @Kiwi Greg, running 1:8 with 60-74g projectiles, mainly 69 and 74g though

I use 2225 & RL33 behind the 90s in my 1-7 twist but velocity is a little high, as the ambient temperature gets up they can't cope.
2209, 2213 & 2217 would be worth a look at, I prefer the slower powders.

Locally down here Tararua Hunter is well known for having used a 22-243 for some years, and presumably would have some good advice for bullet choice on reds. Maybe track him down more easily on the other site.
Thanks @Kiwi Greg, will look into that...

Don't know if it's relevant or even interesting, but a mate of mine in South Africa had a local conversion of the .303. It was a necked down 303 case called a 6mm Musgrave. It was on par energy wise with a.243. Cheaply done with the purchase of a barrel and a no. 4 action.
I’m using 2213 with 80gn Targex 1-8 twist. Seems to like 63gn Serrias and 2213 as well.
