Is it easy to import projectiles? I'd like to get some in bulk but our Club AO told me on the weekend he gets copper coated projectiles for $130/1000 so I wanna jump on his next order. All works out quite good for 223 when you look at .22lr at about $0.12 per round. Was gonna get a .22lr AR but might just spend the money on rounds instead

I agree with the general opinion that its cheaper to make but you end up shooting more.

It feels awesome when you shoot a deer with your own tailor made

Too bad the Steel case ammo isn't particularly common anymore. Think I paid $70 for 100 rounds, would definitely do it again if any shops had some!
Thing with reloading is you can choose what projectile you like, yes some bulk ammo is almost as cheap and a lot easier.
But if you want 53gr Vmax's in 223 you are either paying $2 A ROUND, or you wont be shooting them.
75gr Amax in 223? Never seen it in factory ammo in NZ.

It's when comparing premium products that the savings come into play.
If I was shooting 100's of rounds of 223 in a day, there's no way I'd be reloading it!

Hey Baz, Do you clean your brass? I always add a little more for the cases to allow for power, media, and time to prepare each case (I even do this to range brass)

It took me about a year to pay for my press and dies but GravelBen it really depends on how much you shoot, how often, etc. I have found this to be VERY helpful for that [URL="https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5JgEhaQUH_Lb1hjSFZnSjdhMlE/edit"]https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1982201850 I saved it and I use it all the time
