Interested in hunting results of game changers as they are advertised as a hunting projectile. I'm setting up a lightweight 223 rig. Savage storm lightweight, 20 inch 1/10 twist, Dpt suppressor, vx2 leupy, comes in at ~ 6.5 lbs all up. Hoping to get 3000fps, capable of deer to 250 yards, so projectile performance is important. Bought a box of GCs but won't be able test and use for some months, so your feedback is much appreciated. PS - Game Kings getting a good wrap, are about the same price.

    Your twist is 1:9
My older model of the same rifle stabilises 69 grn Sierra Tipped Match Kings and they are very good on deer.

    I get 3048fps with 2206. 20" barrel.

I couldn't watch it....he waffled too much without getting to the point.

I went with 10thou off the lands and they seem to like it.
Loaded up 3 rounds of each charge weight with 2208 and 2206h.
    2208 loads 3/4-1 moa
2206h loads half moa for all charge weights I tried.
Got up to 3100fps with a good ES at the top so will load up some more at that and see if its repeatable but looks very good so far.Name: IMG_20200920_163059.jpg

64 Game changers loaded 20th off lands, GRT ballistic Program said 24g of Vitivory N130 so tried 23.9g ////// WOW way to much, one near punchered primer although cci 400s are soft. Couple of cases, old ones showed signs of case separation. Yet no opening bolt pressure. Shot 1/halfinch no idea of speed, no chrony. Beware of ballistic programs.
Looked up the Vitivory advise & they come back with 21g max. Today put a scope on I trust results 21g half inch, 22g good group, 23g chronyed this time 3115 accuracy gone. After the negative feedback about these projectiles, basically using to tune a load, will change to 65g Game Kings.

Yep you can likely improve on that.

My M7 223 with same bullet with 25.2gr does this. But only after fine tuning seating depth.

When i had my "stolen ar" i tried carefully reloading the most accurate load right down to carefully weight sorting brass, all same head stamp, all projectiles weight sorted then sorted those by bearing surface length etc etc Vs that loaded from range pickup brass thru a progressive press. There was not enough difference in the groups as while the carefully loaded stuff shot marginally better the steel plate still were hit at required distances. Just was not worth the faffing about and the time taken (in my case)
