But at 100m, the bullet has hit the peak of its rise and then begins to drop. So zero at 100 means your zero gets exponentially worse after 100, and for a beginner, the zero becomes unusable after 200.

Bud,your 1.4-1.5" at hundy zero is pretty jolly useful. The maths shown above show just how practical it is for the short through to mid range shots it is. Don't overthink it.
75/15/10 black powder matters
BDC scope mounted 2 inches above bore and zeroed at 50 yards is point and shoot to 200 yds and by happy coincidence 250 aligns with the first drop mark.
It may not be target accuracy but it's plenty adequate for hunting. We really do tend to overthink things at times and are dissatisfied with anything less than pinpoint accuracy. Going back and shooting open sights or a red dot rapidly resets the what's adequate and what's not meter.

I think I'd be comfortable for her to shoot out to 100m. But i want it super simple, so its easy to explain and useable for when i take a shot. I think for this gun and projectile 1.4" at 100 will be ideal for my hunting and for the girls.

Perfect. then go for it. That will allow her to shoot hares and rabbits too a reasonable range as well. So you have your options covered.
