I have owned three 243's and the above combination has been accurate and reliable at killing in all of them.
    44gr or 45gr 2209 for 80gr. 42gr 2209 for 100gr.

I shoot nearly everything in the crease. Few shoulder shots and neck shots if I'm feeling confident. Shot the only red I've shot with it in the shoulder as wanted to be sure he wouldn't go far if it didn't go to plan but worked fine

Get some Speer 90 grain bullets usually at a reasonable price or 85 Sierra, Load with 2206H up to 36.5 grains Max load,
used this load years ago is accurate in most .243's the Speer bullet kills well as does the Sierra no need for expensive projectiles
as long as the impact velocity is 1800 fps or higher it is all that's needed,

So it pretty much looks like 42grs (ish) of 2209 with a 95-100 grain cup core is a pretty universal load

The Bomb says he has 2206H and wants to stick to it; and everyone is recommending 2209

2206h will be mint, just start at published minimum and work up, or follow MD's advice and start in the middle. That's what I'm planning to do with my 'bush load', 90 grain speer hot cor and IMR4895.

pretty sure it will be shorter than ideal anyway..my 270 was 21" from factory...get gunsmith to look at first bit of barrel and make the call, depending on suppressor make you could go really short so its up against stock or leave it longer...the gunworks spartans have long rear section so are better for this, the little bit closer to action sort of balances things better..all swings n roundabouts. one thing is for sure, suppressed is nicer on the ears than bare barrel.
