    What the man said. Use 59gr. Be in the zone. 270 has a big boiler room. Otherwise use 110gr Barnes. Then you have whistling death.

    2213sc worked well for me back in the day when I owned a 270 x57gr or thereabouts with 130grSSTs

    Well if you change your mind, im local and usually keep a reasonable stock of it, it hasnt been too hard to get unlike CCI primers

    Medium burning powders were only used in the .270 back in the day as they had a limited choice and no slower options. You can do better than 2208 I reckon.

    Yes, it's a close match. Just have a look in the ADI guide. There is a set of tables/chart showing "equivalents "

    If you read the 270/4064 article he suggests that 4064 doesn't quite act the same in the 270.
    He couldn't quite explain it, bit it seemed to act like the burn rate differed in the cade than what it should be.7

    We use a truck load of N160 in the .270 and .25-06 years back gave bloody great speeds and accurate.
    Lately I've used Hodgdon Superperformance with 145 eldx also works well

    Unless you dialling up n stretching the barrel,why chase velocity if load is accurate enough to do what you need it to do,leave it alone and just go shoot it.
