Rule 5: Check your firing zone
im guessing most of you guys will be running 24" tubes? has anyone lopped one down to 22"? thoughts
Yea I'm running 24" plus suppressor so getting good speeds
Interested in results on game with 150gr anyone used 150 gr SST?
I have stuck with 150 VLD for no other reason than it works near and far.
Use 150 LRAB in my 270win and very happy with results near and far.
2217 @ 69 grains behind 140 AB's in a T3
Started off with 130 sst's and accubonds, then tried 140sst's. They weren't any noticeably different from the lighter projectiles. More often than not were found in skin on off side of pigs or deer even under 300yards like the 130's. Went to the 150sst's and large holes appeared in the off side of animals will past 300yards. A great bullet and a significant step up over the lighter bullets. Used re22 mostly and later 2225 for the 150's but felt it was a bit to slow for the 270wsm in my rifle which was a 24" t3 accuracy wise it shot 3/4" with all the projectiles
G'day, I'm loading my .270wsm with 130gn SST's over 65gns RL19 for 3150fps and .46 groups. Federal brass, Federal 215 LRM primers.
To quote John Key, "I'm comfortable with that."
Used to be a fine wine - now I'm vinegar.
