The 208 amax is a step up from the 162 that's for sure, the 3006 pushing them around 2700fps ?

I don't think so.The load is from the ADI book but theres data from other reloading manuals that show a couple or three more grains higher max loads.I've gone conservative for accuracy but I'll chrony it in the near future hopefully.

What twist are they? 1-10"? I had a Savage 116 in 30-06 that shot everything really well as long as it wasnt over 180gr, tried some 208s through it and it spat them all over the show at longer ranges allthough it shot them ok at 100 so im guessing they weren't stabilising, which I could only put down to the 1-12" twist.
Interesting to know if they like heavy projectiles, good shooting

1-10 twist,24" barrel and a DPT can, which really makes shooting it easier

    Really great shooting

The 30-06 is an extremely under rated cartridge here.

The improved one I do is right up there with a Win Mag
