Colour me impressed. That is a great grouping at four hundred.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

I was thinking of setting up a 300 win mag for long range but after seeing that group may be swayed into using a hot loaded 30 06 instead.
How are you doing further out with 30 06?

The 30-06 cartridge has been field proven over a very long career on some very large animals

I witnessed it dropping a Red Spiker at 320m, much to the surprise of the shooter.

Is that the kinda drop chart your gonna make @marky123 ?

    Cheers

It was the 1000 yard record holder before the invent of the rem mag. As kiwi greg said stick an AI reamer up its are and it will only be slut shy of win mag performance

I'd want to keep it standard that way I can use ammo my M 1917 can. Still unsure though. There's not much between 30 06 and 300 factory ammo price wise. Budgets to tight right now to get both. Don't think a give a little page will help.

You can shoot standard ammo in an AI chamber but it will fire form it. The 300 ammo ive seen (well the stuff worth using) is drastically more expensive than the 06 offerings
