    Slow 2780fps.
Combination of mild load and shortish (24”) barrel.
You can certainly crank it up more, especially if seated out more.

I use 74 grs RL 26 with the 200gr ELDX velocity is at 2900 fps, I use a Tikka T3 which has a 1-11 inch twist. Will shoot inch or better if I am shooting ok.

@Kelton haha no not at once, but if I’m going bush hunting take the 308. Tops or long work hopefully will take the 300 once it’s set up.
Yes I have a pack of ELDX already. Were you going to suggest something else?

I personally dont like them but dont let that sway you lots of people are having great success. I found them very accurate and 9/10 killed well but that 10th was always their lurking in the back ground i never knew when or were but it was waiting to cock something up for me and after 3 calibres lots of success storys but enough sad storys iv gone berger cals being 7mm Rm 300 WM and 7mm BM all high horsepower cartridges in my opinion

Fair enough. I have read mixed results like yourself. But yea will give them ago. Like I said maiming for 300m plus so hopefully be good for that. Have loaded up some rounds tonight so hopefully go test them in the range Sunday. Sadly dint have a crono so just shooting for accuracy for now. Then once I can get sub MOA will do some long range test for a dope card

Good as mate i wouldnt stress to much over the chrony i pick accuracy over speed and in 300 wm itll be going fast enough. Yip they were gold in my 7mmrm for alot of the time with long range hunting intended but now and then tripping up on big boys the animals dont respond well to telling them to run 400 mtrs then stand still broadside lost a good stag for 4 days shot at 30 yrds shortly after changing from the amax to eldx 9 months prior to that we got a 14 3/4 bull tahr less than 200 yard shot(with amax) after 2 bloody ripper animals i thought id be shooting 500+ bassed on previous trips i decided to change And seen as im a one rifle sort of guy iv tried to find a bomb thatll do both as best possible iv herd the lrab is awsome if you can get it to shoot if you have no luck with eldx loads

From what I can find online, looking like load somewhere between 72-77 gr, would that be about right? Obviously watching for pressure.
What speed are you getting with 75.5?
    Hi Blair,

I am still working on my loads for 300WM and haven't been happy with 208 ELDM in my rifle yet. It shoots to a Km fine, but the groups are shoddy - infact Federal blue box has been better! I have been using 2217, Fed magnum primers and federal brass. Have just bedded and stabiiised the stock, with marginal improvement.

My B14 has a very long throat so my OAL for my loads has been 3.62" (0.005" off the lands I think), and 76.5gr powder doing a mild 2860fps. around 77gr was tipping 3000fps from memory and was unnecessarily hot, although no real pressure signs.

I'm going to do another set but use recommended ADI book OAL of 3.42". It will mean a jump of around 250 thou, but if factory shoots well so far pack then I'll try the eldms too (although they do reportedly like to be closer to the lands).

If I cant get ELDM to shoot off this next work up then I'll sell my 3 boxes of them and get something less temperamental.

As mentioned earlier, SST is a pill I have had great success with in my 308. Clover leaf no matter how much I neglect my bush pig...

Interesting. Have heard great stuff about the 208 eldm. If you do end up selling them. Let me know. I would be interested in them.
Will report back after the weekend with how my loads go.

    84grns 2225 gave 3030fps with 200 eldx and 84grns gave 212eldx a speed of 2990fps.
210vld was 3000 with 84grns and a way better killer and 82grns of 2225 with 215vld hybrid was exceptional killer also.

@Feral did you have any luck with the 208?
Mine wasn’t super successful, ranged from .6 - 2 inches. So going to have a play with .6 load. Buts it’s pretty hot. No pressure though

    77.6 grains of 2217 and 208 ELD-M does 2980 fps in mine.
OAL is 3.5, Nosler brass, 215 GMM, 26” barrel, .6 MOA.
Found them very easy to tune.
