    300 Win Mag Powder Recommendations

    As per the title looking for powder recommendations for the 300 win mag with a 175/180gr projectile

    RL 26 works well, 2213 SC is good also with 180's, most slower burning powders work well.

    Reloader 22 goes really good in mine and still see it pop up reasonably often

    2217 is a decent powder for 300WM and is actually on the shelf at most shops atm

    Thanks for the help. I hope I've got some 2209 on the way, if not I see 2217 available but is listed for 200+gr projectiles do you just start a little lower than the minimum?

    2217/H1000 - temperature stable and good velocity, plus relatively easy to source.

    77.6 grains with 208 ELD-M in mine.

    No you shouldn't go below start loads. Just look at the Hodgdon/ADI on line data which will list it.
