    @300WSMfor life I was wondering how you were getting on with those 200gr eldx I sent you?looks like you have found my secret load you won't look back now!

    178eldx and 200eldx worked very well for me. the 178eldx has a very high bc for it's weight (beats even the 190vld I think). ELD-m is something to consider as well.

    Hi at @Blackmac yea it's a sweet load. Didn't get pressure signs until 62.5gr, found the 61.5 a very good combination. Can't wait to shoot deer and chamois with them. Hopefully on Saturday if weather holds.

    2 mates use the same load. 62.9gr rl17 behind a 178eldx. Lethal out a long way. No substitute for practice though

    208 ELD-M if your barrel will stabilise them and RE26 or 2217/H1000.

    ELD-M does the job at magnum velocities at close range, hits really hard, and breaks up at lower velocities at longer ranges. Also has great BC so bleeds speed slower than most and drifts less in wind.

    Lots of the US forums encourage very fast twist barrels, which does increase BCs, but is often not necessary.
