Yeah heard about doing that Tim. I dont have the reloading gear for that otherwise id consider it. Could be worth a lash late if we get a set of dies from somewhere.
I still have your number, I'll txt you later for reference

I have to keep reminding myself the ammunition is the cheapest part of hunting.
Most brands will do the business up to 150m. FMJs may not be first choice for ethical hunting.
For a dedicated 308 hunting rifle, Sako Gameland in either 123 or 165gr is pricey ($3+ per round) is worth every cent giving excellent accuracy at distance and terminal ballistics.. A box of 20 should last up to three seasons. Alternatively share out the box with mates.
Yeah I hear you
Dont really have many shooting mates around here and the ones i do know dont run a 308
Like i posted im am a tight arse in this case and suspect he is a little bit too
My tikka loves federal blue 150 sp. Job done.
I was all over American whitetail 150s SP through my tikka. Smashed everything I threw them at.
Until I got into reloading then found it loves 130s even more.
The joker that sold hill fmj for hunting needs a smack over the head, unless ya mate just asked for the cheapest ammo they had
Go fast, Don’t suck
Also what a mate, anyone ever buys me any ammo/reloading stuff for helping them out ild return the favour with a stack load of venison!
Go fast, Don’t suck
Already gave me some but that was for room in his freezer.
Like I said I am after a favour so.....
And while yes he may or may not have asked for the cheapest stuff, the guy behind the counter possibly should've asked him.
At least do the hard sell on more expensive proper stuff
