Seen a .308 shooting the 208gr Amaxs do very well in a long range competition recently. Jo is a very good shooter though - i am sure that has something to do with it...

I use the club ammo (or thier recommended load) right now which is,

    Federal match grade primers
    lapua brass
nosler 155gr palma set to touch lands
ADI AR2208 (I think, brain fade just tripped in, need to check) @45 grains
I know some ppl are using 50grain loads but Im not 100% sure which powder that is. I think its 2208 but I need to double check, not convinced they are any better off going that hot.

If I can get 99/100 with 14 centres at 500yds it cant be that bad a setup, that is in a palma grade gun mind, (wind varying 2.5 MOA to 3.0 MOA) . At 1000yds Im struggling with the wind, 68 is my best score, very consistant drop though mostly wind reading issues by me. I do want to try heavier pills....something for the future.

I shoot 168 Nosler Custom Comps - seems to be a very forgiving projectile to load

For FTR I use 155 Dyers or 185 Bergers,
( I did the 208 A-Maxes for a bit with a full case of RE17 but not real safe)

I have found either of the Nosler Custom Competition 155 or 168 grain out shoot everything else in my 308 Mod 70 Coyote. They are also well priced and available in 250 pc packets.

Berger 155gr, lapua brass, 45gr 2206h adi powder. Shot 600m, 850m, 4inches to right at 900, 6inches right at 1220m. Projectile seems to hold steady to around 800m.

What twist rate and direction ?

2206h seems to be the goto choice for 155
