    .308 net gun loads

I’m down to my last blank , pulled it apart and weighed the charge but can’t identify powder.
I have a blanking die set but just need to know a powder and charge that will get me going.

I also unsuccessfully tried to load 223 blanks for my can cannon using 2206h but the powder didn’t ignite, so any advise there would be welcome too.

    Cheers
    Rob

Most blanks use very fast pistol or shotgun powders as pressure is needed to maintain burn fast enough to give impulse with smokeless propellents. For a propelling charge the requirements might be a bit different though.
Black powder needs no confinement to properly burn but some consider it a bit messy.

Most of the net gun blanks were loaded with a medium burning powder rather than the fast powders normally found in noise-making blanks. Talk to Belmont ammunition (Bruce McMillan) as they make net gun blanks.

You couldn't have run out of 223 blanks yet?

Give Mark Law a ring at Frontier Helicopters. He does a bit of live capture.
