I'm sure someone will be able to identify these 38sp cartridges for me. Came to me from an old shooter quitting the game, in a bag...
Case is white plastic.
Headstamp is USAC 38 SPL

I know a lot but it seems less every day...
Was a marketing ploy that never gained too much traction

Hard to keep up nowadays with so many variations of cartridges out there.
Have never seen these ones before.

They were made in .308 and .50 calibre as well.
I cant help but think of the recent post on .277 fury.......similar but opposing ends of scale...both have two part cases with solid bum for primer and strong web....
bloody shame they cant be posted! I would be stoked to have one.
Use enough gun
Excuse the ignorance but a plastic case in any calibre especially as big as .50 seems to be a recipe for disaster... Just not since they are still selling them
think early cartridge cases...or better still paper cartidges...the case was just a "thing' to hold powder,the action itself contained the blast... the cartridge shown will be on lower end of pressure scale. your .50 cal...is a classic...lots of early black powder was in .58 calibre.....
@Jhon, good man : )
Use enough gun
Vaguely reminiscent of the dardick tround, I wonder if they got the idea from that.
