    The plain jane 6.5-284 is just so simple though....beautiful lapua brass out of the box with no fireforming. The 260AI seems like a freakn efficient round though, my 6.5x55 is pushing hard to get 2970fps with 123gr Amax's in my blaser!

    Yea i have a Blaser standard .260 22" S/S done by Dan Hardy that I may be tempted to sell as I have a .260AI as well for the Blaser R93.

    Hmm poke a 6.5-06 or 264 win mag reamer up my 6.5x55 barrel....

    VC, you say you have 75mm to spare in the mag box on that Sako 75. Before I pulled that barrel I had a rough measure up, these are all touching the lands;
    130 VLD Hunting = 76.1mm
    129gr SST = 75mm
    123gr Amax = 74.1mm
    If you go with 260 Rem then this bit of info might help.
