    6.5 prc factory ammo

Hey lads have recently purchased a tikka 6.5prc. Cut the barrel down to 22". Used nosler 140gr BT 2900fps and the Hornday precision hunter 143gr ELD-X 2960fps and haven't really liked my grouping on both ammo when sighting it at 100. Who else has had great groupings with different ammo keen to try another few packs to see what my gun may like better. Appreciate it!

This is the drawback of 6.5 PRC currently. Your factory ammo options are a lot more limited vs 270, 308, Creedmoor etc...

I'd go over the rifle, the optic, and the shooter to see where there's room for improvement besides the ammo. Also, are your expectations realistic? What's it actually grouping like? How many shots per group? How many rounds total fired now? Have you been cleaning it?

If you were willing to start reloading, you open up an endless number of options and assuming there's nothing wrong with the setup, you could find something it liked that way.

There is a thread about the PRC on here which may help.

    Are those chronographed speeds?
    270 is a harmonic divisor number[1]
270 is the fourth number that is divisible by its average integer divisor[2]
270 is a practical number, by the second definition
The sum of the coprime counts for the first 29 integers is 270
270 is a sparsely totient number, the largest integer with 72 as its totient
Given 6 elements, there are 270 square permutations[3]
    10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.

Norma ammo proved very consistent through mine. Nice little groups, very low es, but I shed a tear every time I put one through paper ad they are horrendously expensive

As above you are very limited with ammo choices. Also mentioned above, are those chronographed validated speeds or box speeds?
