Thread: 6.5 x 55 alternative powder to Vihtavuori N560

    2209 is good, as is 2213 SC, and according to my loading manual Staball 6.5 is very good, burn rate of this powder is similar to 2209. It is a Winchester ball powder.

    I have plenty of 143gr eld-x, so sing out if you can't get any.

    Federal 210 primers Lapua brass, found the H100V as good if not better than 2209 in my Tikka M695 Shot at 100yards

    I am on my third tikka barrel on my 6.5x55 the God of chamberings.
    You won't go wrong with 2209 at 44.8g.
    Fed match 210 norma or lap brass 80.5mm long.
    Running at 2720.
    Photo is just checking zeros for 308 on left and 6.5 on right.
