Just thought I would share some results from last week, as there is very little on the 6.5mm 143gr Bondstrike out there. I had concerns around whether these would hold together at closer range initially - these are now allayed.
Load:
6.5x55 @ 2690fps
Red Spiker at 50m; quartering front on.
Bullet passed through on-side shoulder-blade and exited behind off-side leg through ribs; Shoulder-blade destroyed with 50mm wound channel behind.
Significant damage to internals, but core of bullet carried through - no signs of blow-up.
These are not PRC velocities, but with less than ideal shot placement this bullet still worked as well as I could have hoped; my old stand-by of Speer Gold Dot or Hot Cor would have done no better - if not worse.
Rob from Reloading direct is running them in his 6.5 SAUM to great effect; a good recommendation from him.
